If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, we are here to help with a straightforward, transparent return and refund process built for the technical nature of remote-controlled vehicles and parts.
1. 30-Day Return Window
You have 30 calendar days from the date your delivery tracking indicates "Delivered" to request a return. To be eligible for a standard return, your item must meet the following strict hobby-industry conditions:
- The vehicle, part, or accessory must be completely unused, unrun, and in the same condition that you received it.
- The item must be in its original, unopened manufacturing packaging (including the factory plastic wrap, seals intact, and untampered warning labels).
- All original manuals, accessories, decals, promotional items, and uninstalled components must be present in the box.
2. Non-Returnable Niche Items
Due to the specific chemistry, safety regulations, and technical wear associated with high-performance RC equipment, the following products cannot be returned under any circumstances once opened or used:
- Lithium Polymer (LiPo) and NiMH Batteries: Any battery that has been unwrapped, charged, cycled, or soldered cannot be returned due to strict federal hazardous transport regulations and volatile chemistry safety.
- Nitro Fuel and Chemicals: Open or unsealed fuel, shock oils, differential fluids, tire glues, and polycarbonate spray paints.
- Electrical Components (Opened): Electronic Speed Controllers (ESCs), Brushless/Brushed Motors, and Servos that show signs of mounting, wire-cutting, or soldering.
- Clear Polycarbonate (Lexan) Bodies: Bodies that have been trimmed, cut, reamed, painted, or had decals applied.
3. Return Authorization Process
Do not mail your purchase back to the manufacturer or our warehouse without explicit prior confirmation. To initiate an authorized return:
- Email our support team immediately at sales@apexrc.shop.
- Provide your original order number and a clear description of the item you wish to return.
- Attach crisp, well-lit digital photographs showing the unopened, factory-sealed condition of the outer packaging and security seals.
- Once approved, our team will issue an official Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number along with the explicit return shipping warehouse destination instructions.
4. Shipping Costs & Hazardous Logistics
- Customer Responsibility: You are responsible for paying all return shipping postage costs. Original shipping fees incurred at the time of purchase are strictly non-refundable.
- Tracking and Protection: We strongly advise using a trackable courier shipping service (UPS, FedEx, or USPS) and purchasing shipping insurance. We cannot guarantee or assume liability for returns lost or severely damaged in transit to us.
- LiPo Battery Return Warning: If your return contains brand new, factory-sealed LiPo batteries that you have been cleared to ship back, you must explicitly declare them to the carrier and ship them exclusively via ground transportation to remain compliant with federal HAZMAT shipping regulations.
5. Inspection and Refunds
Upon arrival at our facility, your package will be inspected by our technical team within 3–5 business days to verify factory condition compliance:
- Approval: If your item passes inspection, your refund will be processed immediately. A credit will automatically be applied to your original credit card or alternative payment method. Please allow 5–10 business days for your banking institution to officially post the funds to your ledger.
- Restocking Fee: Items returned with minor external cosmetic wear on the outer manufacturing box that does not affect the item may be subject to a 15% restocking fee at our sole discretion, deducted directly from your final refund balance.
- Rejection: If a vehicle or part is discovered to have been run, modified, or damaged, the return will be rejected, no refund will be issued, and the item will be shipped back to you at your expense.
6. Damaged, Defective, or Dead On Arrival (DOA) Items
We perform rigorous quality assurance checks, but if your item arrives broken or defective from the factory:
- You must report the issue to sales@apexrc.shop within 48 hours of delivery.
- Include clear photos or a short video demonstrating that the item is defective or dead on arrival out of the box.
- For electronics or engine defects discovered after clean field usage, we will assist you in lodging a formal manufacturer warranty claim with brands like Traxxas, Horizon Hobby, etc., as these brands handle technical defects directly.
